We are forever grateful for the help of Dr. Khama Rogo. He played an enormous role in making our first trips to Kenya a success, connecting the Travelbond team with the Kenya Basketball Federation, Granny Obama, the Kenya Minister of Education, and multiple top schools and programs.
Dr. Rogo is a distinguished global health leader and obstetrician-gynecologist who founded several institutions in Kenya, including the Nairobi Oncology Centre, the Nairobi Women’s Hospital, and the Sagam Community Hospital in rural Siaya. He served as Lead Health Sector Specialist and Head of the World Bank Group’s Health in Africa Initiative, which mobilized over USD 5 billion in new health sector investments in Africa. He is a recipient of the Margaret Sanger Award and the Kenya Lifetime Service Achievement Award.
