Smile Sports Secures Facility and School Partners for Inaugural Pilot
The gears are officially in motion. Today, Smile Sports reached a major operational milestone by securing our physical venue and local school coalition for our upcoming November international pilot program in Mabalacat, Pampanga, Philippines.
This entire mission is deeply personal. We are launching this flagship camp in loving memory of Paula Alfaro, a dedicated, long-time Mabalacat educator who spent her life advocating for the future of local children. To honor her legacy, we are bringing our hybrid athletic and oral health modules directly to the students she loved.
Through direct collaboration with the Sta. Ines Barangay officials, Smile Sports has been granted exclusive usage of the premier St. Ines MJM Covered Court to serve as our central camp headquarters.
By utilizing our plug-and-play “Camp within a Camp” model, we are not building a program from scratch. Instead, we have partnered with three nearby public elementary institutions to inject health literacy straight into their active student-athlete loops:
- Mabalacat Elementary School (MES): Bringing 15 student-athletes.
- Santa Ines Integrated School (SIIS): Bringing 10-15 student-athletes.
- Mangalit Elementary School: Bringing 10-15 student-athletes.
Our maximum target capacity is capped at 80 campers to ensure a rigorous, safe, and highly tracked learning environment. True community empowerment requires teacher integration, so each school is deploying its own head coach and assistant coach to teach, participate, and learn our data-tracking methods alongside the kids. Smile Sports is proud to step onto the Sta. Ines courts to build a lasting health sanctuary.
