Today, Smile Sports is thrilled to officially announce our partnership with the region’s premier youth basketball operators: Coach Ty Urea and Coach Milo Ronquillo Bonifacio.
These community organizers lead the youth sports pipeline in Central Luzon, selecting local youth to ensure maximum impact.
- Coach Milo Ronquillo Bonifacio: A former Perpetual Help ALTAS collegiate player (NCAA Philippines), he is the head director of the Triple Double Basketball Camp in Floridablanca, Pampanga. He prepares age-group divisions (10U to 14U) for elite competition, including the Road to Rebel National Championships. He will also be helping to bring Smile Sports opportunities to girls to our first camp.
- Coach Ty Urea: Founder of the TY Basketball Camp (TYBC), he led the Mabalacat expansion and directs a development pipeline for national platforms, including Junior MPBL, Milcu Gotskills, and the National Youth Basketball League (NYBL).
Ty and Milo handle local operations and vendor logistics to keep program overhead lean.
Our connection with these coaches came via a consultation with Philippine professional basketball figure, Coach Alex Compton. As co-founder of the National Basketball Training Center (NBTC), Compton developed a premier nationwide grassroots league. Now in the U.S., he co-authored the book “Wisest Learners: Guiding Your Child’s Athletic Journey” for parents and coordinators.
